Encosta do Lago

The village of Encosta do Lago encompasses 35 acres and is located toward the south west of Quinta in an elevated spot overlooking the water sports lake and within walking distance of the Ria Formosa. It was first established in 1990 with clusters of luxurious, Classic Portuguese style, two and three bedroom apartments. There are 88 in all; designed by Atelier do Sul and arranged around the club facilities: a palm fringed swimming pool, the well known Tucano’s restaurant, bar, gymnasium and tennis courts. The villas on the resort are all custom designed creating an interesting mixture of traditional and contemporary styles. They sit on 88 individual plots of between 1.200 and 2.000 sqm.

Lakeside Village

As its name suggests Lakeside has an excellent location bordering the water sports lake. It covers around 25 acres and consists of a mix of ninety, freehold, traditional style detached villas and semis, many with private pools and some with superb golf and lake views. There are also sixty apartments in a crescent with a grandstand view across the main pool to the lake beyond. The landscaped communal areas include two more pools, a café and floodlit tennis courts. Within walking distance of various restaurants, water sports and the Ria Formosa; the village was built around 1992 (by Bovis) and because of its excellent location many of the properties have and are being renovated to a very high standard.

Monte da Quinta

An ideal location for families; this holiday village was completed in 200 and is a gated condominium with 24 hour security, located in the heart of Quinta do Lago. It has a mixture of attractive, traditional style  3, 4 and 5 bedroom villas and 2 and 3 bedroom townhouses, all with either pools or plunge pools. The village has exceptional facilities including a 24 hour reception and management service, restaurants, bar, gym and sauna, indoor and outdoor communal pools and a Kid’s club. There is also access to the facilities in the adjacent Monte da Quinta Suites aparthotel (spa, beauty salon, café, restaurant and a small shop).

Residencia

The most exclusive and private of the villages within Quinta; Residencia consists of twelve, semi detached, four bedroom villas, surrounding a large pool, within a tranquil, tropically landscaped setting. A peaceful location, just two minutes from the wooden bridge which crosses the Ria Formosa to Gigi’s and the beach and also walking distance from the Quinta do Lago hotel and facilities.

São Lourenço Village

Located in a supreme position on the edge of the Natural Park, a stone’s throw from the São Lourenço  lake and flanked by the 9^th and 18^th fairways of the San Lorenzo course; these one, two and three bedroom traditionally designed, sandstone coloured apartments, were constructed between 1988 and 1998 by Bovis (many have been stylishly renovated). The condominium facilities include tennis courts and a communal pool with views across the lake to the 18^th Fairway.

Vale dos Pinheiros

This development of 55 fine quality, one and two bedroom townhouses located close to the water sports lake, was completed in 2005. The village is very attractively landscaped and has a very pleasant restaurant overlooking the gardens, a bar, gym, tennis courts, a kid’s play area and a communal pool.

Victory Village

This is one of the oldest developments on the estate, built in 1984 by Imalgarve and covering around 14 acres. Victory Village is very well located in the south of Quinta, a few minutes walk from the wooden bridge across the Ria Formosa to the beach. The village has 22 townhouses and 229 studios and apartments; some with plunge pools. Communal facilities include two swimming pools with a pool bar and tennis courts.

Pinheiros Altos

In 1992 the Pinheiros Altos Golf Resort, developed by JJW Hotels and Resorts (adjacent to and now considered part of Quinta do Lago), was inaugurated. The original golf course was designed by American architect Ronald Fream; an unusual course consisting of two nine hole loops of contrasting character. The first through Umbrella Pine woods and the second an undulating landscape past lakes and water hazards. The course is flanked by beautiful Colonial style villas and at the centre of the resort is ‘The Village’ a discreet mixture of smaller villas and apartments, many of which have their own pools; a large communal pool, the Club house, bar  and restaurant overlooking the golf course, and the Golf Academy which was opened in 2003.

A further nine hole loop was added and integrated into the course in 2007, designed by Portuguese architect Jorge Santana da Silva.  

Quinta’s latest development ‘The Keys’ is at present under construction. A range of stunning, contemporary villas and duplex apartments, which are being built using the latest technology and design features.
